BOYS LIVING IN #GIRLWORLD
Ok so for obvious reasons, I prefer women's fashion. However, I do take a keen interest in men's clothing and accessories - this is also for obvious reasons...because I'm a married lady. This translates to "I kinda, sorta really give an eff about the clothes my husband wears".
Some of us met our beaus at a time when sweatpants and graphic tees were cool, but that was years ago and those clothes are no longer ok. Some guys are stylish and fashion forward, but most are not (or worse, they think they are when they're not! #yikes)
When you want your guy to wear what you want - follow these rules and you'll be gold.
1. Buy him what you like and wrap it up as a present - literally;
2. Don't be overly critical;
3. Remember, you're the fashionista - not him - don't expect too much! A pair of fitted jeans and a cool leather jacket can go a long way;
4. Make casual suggestions, like "maybe you don't need to wear something sports related to the restaurant tonight";
5. Hide some of the clothes you absolutely hate (this has worked wonders for me with numerous pairs of torn track pants);
6. When you're out shopping, grab something you like and do whatever it takes to convince him it was his idea;
7. Slowly empty his closet (to make room for all his new presents #duh) and ask him while he's distracted watching hockey if you can give some items away to charity. He won't be paying proper attention and you can get rid of a few old things #mitzvah
