REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE - AKA SHOP VINTAGE
Hi lovers,
Over here in #girlworld we're green-ish. We always try to recycle and do our part for mother nature and the planet. We usually don't buy water bottles and some of us even have mini compost bins on our kitchen counters.
Looking for another way to protect the world from global warming? (#yikes) - here's a helpful solution - Shop vintage! Re-using and re-purposing clothing and accessories is an amazing way to reduce your consumption and get the coolest wardrobe. I'm #sold.
Vintage shopping, whether from my mom's closet, my grandmas stuff or an actual vintage store is something I've always loved to do. I have found some of my favorite sweaters, bags and precious jewels (literally) that have once been one (wo)man's trash and are now my treasure. I truly believe that mixing and matching fashion is the best way to be #chicforcheap and stay true to your personal style.
Finding a great vintage piece is like finding out you love feta cheese. You didn't know what you were missing, but now it's a staple in your diet (and closet). I know from personal experience, feta is #lifechanging. Plus, you're basically saving the planet one vintage dress at a time because you're not contributing to mass production and waste. #winwin

The name People of Pluto stems from the "Pluto Gang" in Kurt Vonneget's novel "Breakfast of Champions", Emma's cat is named Pluto and the idea that pluto (the star) is much like used clothing. It was once considered a planet, and now it is not, although it is just as lovely as it ever was.
The what:
People of Pluto sells recycled women's clothing of no particular style or decade. The clothes have been handpicked to be rescued and re-homed. People of Pluto doesn't want to to contribute to the wasteful supply and demand of the fashion industry. Fashion repeats itself anyways, so why not reuse the bountiful amount of materials that already exist?
